Betty Edwards, 71, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center.

Born in Elyria, Ohio , Betty was the daughter of the late Melvin and Amelia Ackerman Merrill.  She moved from Elyria to the Rhea County com munity 45 years ago.  Betty retired from the La-Z -Bo y Corporation.  She was a member of Bogles Chapel Baptist Church.  She loved her grandchildren first and foremost.  Betty also loved the farm life and working with the ladies at Ft. Bluff.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" P. Edwards and her brother Jeff Merrill.

Survivors include her mother Faye Merrill of Elyria, Ohio, sons Robert (Sherrie) Edwards of Dayton, Paul ( Tabitha ) Edwards, Ulysses (Tanya) Edwards, and David ( Glenna) Edwards all of Evensville, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren .

Funeral services are Wednes day, December 5 , 2018 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Revis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery in Evensville.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p m to 3:00 p m Wednes day at Vaughn Funeral Home.
