Bertha Kate McCampbell, 83, died Thursday, August 8, 2019 at her home.

A lifetime resident of Spring City, Bertha Kate was the daughter of the late Hoyal and Katie Pelfrey McClendon.  She was a graduate of Spring City High School and valedictorian of her class.  Bertha Kate was a homemaker. She loved to read and write poetry . H er interest s also included gardening and quilting.  Bertha Kate was a member of the Texas Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Victor McCampbell, son Johnny McCampbell, brothers Lonnie and Garland McClendon and sisters Bessie Thompson and Arvella Gee.

Survivors include her sons Leslie (Susan) McCampbell and Keith (Elizabeth) McCampbell both of Spring City, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Mon day, August 12 , 2019 at 4:00 p m at the Texas Grove B aptist Church with Rev. Norman Huskey officiating.  Interment will be in the Add Smith Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Mon day from 2:00 p m to 4:00 p m at the church.
