Avis "Sue" Price took the hand of Jesus and walked into His presence on Saturday morning Sept. 3, 2022.

Sue was born to parents Rev. George W D Wilkey and Mabel Clayton Wilkey on July 1, 1940. She was number 5 out of a family of 9 children, and was born just minutes
ahead of her twin sister Sonja. She lived in Rhea County, Tn. her entire life, growing up on Blythe's Ferry Rd, and iving in Dayton, Tn. her first 31 years. She married
Thomas Kelly, and had Tony in 1959, then Ann in 1961.
She married Don Price in 1970 and gained Veronica, Mitzi and Donald. She had Rusty in 1971, and that same year moved to Spring City, Tn., with Jason completing the
family in 1973.

Sue is now walking the streets of gold, adding a link to the family chain her daddy always prayed would remain unbroken, with her parents George and Mabel Wilkey,
brothers Arnold, Billy Joe, Carroll, and Bucky Wilkey, sisters Eva Owens, and Sonja Price, her grandson "Charlie" Joshua Finley and great-granddaughter baby Lanie Couch.

Sue's greatest treasure in life was her family, the love and devotion she had for them is truly immeasurable. Her
attributes were many, she was strong, smart, beautiful, selfless, serving, ever giving, and forgiving. Her attitude
was to never say I can't, but always say I can. She was a retail business owner in Spring City for the past 51 years.
She believed in working hard for what you  need or want, and If she had a motto, it would be "Whatever your hand finds to do work at it with all your heart." Colossians
3:23. Her love and desire to care for others made her the best daughter, sibling, mother, and grandmother anyone could have asked for. As a youngster she was a helping
hand to her mother with cooking, household chores, and caring for her family. She mothered her siblings and made sure they all were taken care of, especially her twin
Sonja. As an adult, Sue took care of everyone The Lord placed in her life, human and fur kind alike. She was the very best seamstress, gardner, and cook. Her sewing
projects were always stitched perfectly and her gardens were beautiful. She produced organic veggies way before it was popular, and usually gave away at least half of
what she grew. She also canned or put up frozen to give to many for the winter season. One of her biggest delights
was to feed everyone that entered her home. She was the best in every way, full of love and a mirror of Jesus to all.
She instilled in her family priceless values, like to love one another, treat all people with respect, give honor to the elderly, to love and nurture, and to always do what was
right in the eyes of The Lord.

Sue's passing has left a huge hole in all our lives, so please keep her family in your prayers. She is survived by many that love her with all their hearts. Children, Tony
(Angie) Kelly, Ann (Doug) Finley, Donald Price, Rusty Price, and Jason Price all of Spring City, Veronica Bratcher of Justin, Tx and Mitzi Shelton of Hiram, Ga. Siblings, "the baby twins" Willis (Linda) Wilkey of LaFayette, Ga. and Wilma (Bill) Carlton of Soddy Daisy, Tn. Sister-in-law Willadean Wilkey of Chattanooga, Tn. and Brother-in-law Ralph Price of Spring City, Tn.
Grandchildren Jeremiah Finley, Andrea (Ashley Parks) Finley, Daniel (Keshia) Kelly, Ethan (Jordan) Kelly, Justin Bratcher, Jessica Couch, Nikki Shelton, Sommer (Anthony
Smith) Shelton, Fleshia (Mitchell) Gillingham, Natasha Price, Clayton Price, Caitlin Armitage, and  Christian Armitage.
Great-Grandchildren Adler Finley, Eli, Eian, Ava, Annabelle, and Everlee Kelly, Moses Kelly, Christian Wallace, Mattie Couch, Jayln, Brayden, and AJ Shelton, Morgan Gent,
Mariah, Preston, Lyla, Miya, and Braxton Smith, and Grayson, and Owen Romine.
Eighteen nieces and eight nephews that were very precious to her.

The Family would like to send out special love and appreciation to the many people who kept Sue and her family in their prayers, the Amedisys Hospice staff who
cared for Sue, especially Mike, Tracy, Keshia and Jeremy, and also to Sue's niece, Renee, for all her guidance, over the last 6 months.

We will gather for a memorial service to honor Sue at Wolf Creek Baptist Church, 5225 Wolf Creek Road, Spring City Tn., on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at 4:00, Rev Paul
Forgey afficiating. There will be no visitation before the service. For all who want to attend, we will have a time of
fellowship with family, friends and food in the gym at Wolf Creek Baptist Church immediately following the service, allowing her to feed the ones she loves and has
touched one last time.
