Ava Lee Ladd, 87, died Monday, October 8, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center.

A lifetime resident of Grandview , Ava Lee was the daughter of the late David and Rosa Reed.  She worked for L.E.P. Industries for many years .  Ava Lee was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church for over 70 years.  She was active in the W. M. U., taught Sunday school and held various offices in the church.  Ava Lee loved to sew, garden and cook.  She loved her family; especially her grandchildren.

Ava Lee was preceded in de ath by her husband Earl D. Ladd, sons Edward A. "Eddie" Ladd and Phillip E. Ladd, sisters Mary Garrison, Cleta James and Flossie Housley and brothers Arnold, Carel, Carlos and Leland Reed.

Survivors include her daughter Fran ( Tommy) Manning of Spring City, daughter-in-law Nancy Ladd of Spring City, niece Phyllis Phillips of Atlanta, Georgia, brother Ernest (Dot) Reed of Grandview, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Fri day, October 12 , 2018 at 1:00 p m at the Grandview Baptist Church with Rev . Herman Fox officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the service at the church.  The in terment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thurs day from 6:00 p m to 8:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home.
