Ann Hinch

Ann Hinch age 85 of Dayton, Tennessee passed away Thursday, October 22, 2026 at her residence;surrounded by her family. Born in Sequatchie, Tennessee on June 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Lou Chambers Dixon. Ann lived many years in Marion County and Bledsoe County before moving to Dayton in 1975. She spent her working career in food service, which she loved and her customers loved her! Ann loved sports, especially golf and football. Her favorite teams were the University of Tennessee, Go Vols! and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was a fierce competitor in any activity she participated in; Ann loved to win!

In her marriage to her late husband Larry Hinch, Ann learned how to enjoy life. Together, they played golf, enjoyed archery, rode four wheelers and traveled. She loved to cook and can. Ann especially loved sharing her canned juices, jams and jellies with family and friends.For her, it was a labor of love, although Larry said it cost him a small fortune in canning jars!

Ann was also preceded in death by her youngest son Denton Keener and her siblings Betty Mae Ellison, George Dixon, Gordon Dixon, Emma Gerard, Jimmy Dixon, Dee Dixon and Michael Dixon.

Survivors include her children Deborah Walker of Dayton, Dee (Roger) Sheets of Hendersonville, N.C.,Delayne Keener of Pikeville, Dewayne (Karen) Keener of Dayton and Dottie Williams of Dayton; her grandchildren Jason and Jill Bickford, Johnny Dalton, Jeremy Grim, Jenny Swafford, Julie York, Josh and Jacob Williams and Jessica Keener, 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way!

The family will receive friends Monday, October 26, 2026 at 4PM in Parlor C of Vaughn Funeral Home; a celebration of Ann’s life will begin at 5PM.
