Albert "Garfunkel" Edwards 72 died Saturday June 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Rhea County, he was the son of the late Major and Vada Perry Edwards. Al worked for TVA as a boilermaker for many years; then, as a carpenter, building for Walmart and other construction companies in this area. Al always has a smile on his face and a twinkle in his blue eyes full of mischief! He would help anyone who needed help if he could and he had a wonderful heart. Al always had a life-lesson on any topic that was being spoken . He had the biggest heart and loved everyone he held in his heart.

Al was preceded in death by his daughter Kim Edwards Dannel and his brother Jim Edwards.

Survivors include his wife Vi cki Lynn Edwards of Spring City daughters Staci Lyn Edwards of Ringgold, GA a nd Debbie Marie Edwards of Destin, FL, stepsons David Craze of Spring City and Randall Lane of Athens, TN, sister Willie Mae (Van) White of Evensville, TN, brothers, Jack (Brenda) Edwards of Hixson and Dennis Edwards of Spring City, nine grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday June 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home two hours prior to services.
